Terms and Conditions of the Orange Diaspora Offer
- The product purchased at the price of 100 MDL (VAT included) consists of an Orange eSIM card with an Orange number, which includes a bundle of services: 50 GB + 500 national minutes + 1 GB Roaming in Europe, valid for a period covering the activation day plus 30 days (Orange Diaspora offer).
- The services included in this product are provided in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for Orange PrePay services and the price list for the Orange Diaspora offer. In case of discrepancies, the price list shall prevail.
- The Orange eSIM card is valid for 14 months (12 months active period and 2 months inactive period). The validity may be extended by recharging the account.
- The offer can be reactivated on the same Orange number an unlimited number of times via the My Orange app, in the “Activate options” menu.
- Unused minutes and GB from the offer, after the 30-day validity period, are cancelled without any compensation.
- National minutes can be used for calls to numbers in the Republic of Moldova (country code +373), excluding calls to networks in the Transnistrian region, premium-rate numbers, and calls made while roaming. National minutes included in the offer can also be used to send national SMS: 1 national minute = 1 national SMS.
- The 50 GB can only be used in the Republic of Moldova.
- The 1 GB Roaming in Europe can be used in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France*, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy*, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
- Exceptions: Northern Cyprus, outermost regions (France), Faroe Islands and Greenland (Denmark), Caribbean territories (Netherlands), territories outside continental Europe, maritime and aerial networks (Wireless Maritime Services (WMS), International Waters, AeroMobile International Airspace, TIM Italy Maritime, Epic Malta International Waters, Telenor Maritime International Waters).
- The customer must use the Orange Diaspora offer in good faith, for personal use only, and shall not use it to provide services to third parties (whether for payment or not), including for redirecting traffic generated by third parties. The customer must not use the offer in bad faith or abusively, including but not limited to: generating traffic via automated systems; promoting, directly or indirectly, the products, services, or image of any person engaged in economic, religious, charitable, or political activity; harassing third parties; speculative purposes aimed at obtaining undue benefits; accessing value-added services (lotteries, etc.) provided by other public telecom networks in Moldova; causing any type of damage to Orange or other operators; using the service in any way that violates applicable laws.
- If the customer violates the above conditions, Orange reserves the right to: deactivate the offer without compensation; refuse the reactivation of the offer; cancel the eSIM card and irreversibly withdraw the associated phone number recover damages caused by the customer.
How do I know if my phone is eSIM compatible?
eSIM Diaspora can only be installed on a phone that supports the eSIM technology. To check if your phone is eSIM compatible, review the manufacturer’s specs or check your phone’s menu to see if the “Add eSIM” option is present:
- For iOS: Settings > Cellular Connection > Add eSIM
- For Android: Settings > Connections > SIM Cards > Add eSIM
What if I have an Orange Account but I forgot the password?
If you've forgotten your Orange Account password, go to the reset page at sso.orange.md and follow the instructions.
What if payment fails during purchase?
After choosing your number and making the payment for eSIM Diaspora, if the payment doesn’t go through for some reason, you can return to My Orange to try again. You’ll also see a notification on the app’s home page regarding this.
How do I install the eSIM on my phone?
Installation happens in the My Orange app immediately after the payment is processed. Just start the eSIM installation from My Orange. Make sure you have a stable Internet connection and your phone’s battery is at least 10%.
What if the eSIM fails to install successfully?
Errors can happen in two situations:
- If the phone loses the Internet connection or disconnects, the installation process stops. You’ll need to re-open My Orange and restart the installation from the step where it was interrupted.
- In rare cases, installation may fail due to phone software issues. If this happens, an error message will appear in the app. For help, call Customer Service at +373 22 977 777.
How do I select which number to use, if I have multiple eSIM profiles on my phone?
To choose the number you want to use among multiple eSIMs installed:
- On iOS: go to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > select the plan you want to use > activate that line.
- On Android: Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > pick the number you want to use.
Note. Android menu labels may vary by device.
You can switch the active number any time.
What if I want to use my eSIM number on a different phone?
You’ll need to generate a new eSIM. You can do this via my.orange.md in the eSIM section, following the instructions there. Use your Orange Account to log in.
Can I switch from eSIM to a regular physical SIM card (plastic)?
Yes. If you want to use a physical SIM, you can request a SIM card at any Orange store.
