Big Data Engineer

Orange Moldova is looking for a new colleague to fill in the of Big Data Engineer.

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing(in real-time/near real-time/offline modes) of huge sets of data using technologies and tools from BigData ecosystem stack.

what you will be doing:

  • Handling, transforming & managing big volume of data using BigData Frameworks & SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Building complete infrastructure to ingest, transform and store data for further analysis & business requirement.
  • Real-time / near real-time data collection and processing according to business use cases.
  • Develop KPIs based on business algorithms and data lake.
  • Prepare dedicated DataMarts based on collected data in DWH and Hadoop cluster.
  • Data preparation for real-time dashboarding.
  • Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.
 

what we are looking for:

  • Skills in Big Data Frameworks/Hadoop-based technologies: HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Flume, Scoop, Oozie, Spark.
  • Knowledge of BigData querying tools: Hive, Impala
  • Experience on Real-time data processing Frameworks: Apache Spark-streaming, Akka
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala.
  • Main principles of data transport/processing tools: NiFi, Kafka.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience in relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Linux shell scripting knowledge would be a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Technical English in corresponding area
  • Autonomy, initiative and responsibility
